📡 Stream / playback problems
1. Constant buffering / stuttering
- Internet too slow — test on fast.com (25+ Mbps for HD)
- Weak WiFi — use wired ethernet or move closer to router
- App buffer too small — increase to 8000ms in settings
- Provider server overloaded (especially 7-10 PM) — ask for alternative server
- VPN too slow — switch server or test without VPN
2. No picture, but sound works
- Codec issue — stream is HEVC but device only does H.264
- Try external player (VLC, MX Player) — software decode
- Or upgrade device to HEVC-capable (all 2017+ TVs)
3. No audio, picture works
- Audio codec mismatch (AC-3 / E-AC-3 not supported)
- TV settings → Audio output → switch Bitstream to PCM
- HDMI ARC can't handle Atmos — use eARC or optical
4. "Failed to open stream"
- Stream URL dead — test in our Stream Tester
- Provider's max connections reached — close on other devices
- VPN blocking — try without VPN
- Account expired — check with provider
📅 EPG problems
5. EPG empty / no programs
- XMLTV URL wrong — test in browser
- tvg-id doesn't match — fix with M3U Editor
- EPG cache corrupt — clear cache in app
6. EPG times are off
- Wrong timezone in app
- EPG source in UTC — some apps don't auto-convert
- Provider EPG always shifted — set manual offset
🔌 Login / provider problems
7. "Invalid credentials"
- Username/password wrong — copy/paste without spaces
- Server URL with port? Format: http://server.com:8080
- Account expired — check provider
8. "Too many connections"
- Close IPTV on other devices
- Wait 5 min, old sessions time out
- Provider limit reached — upgrade for more connections
🔄 Quick reset (fixes 80% of problems)
- Clear app cache (not data)
- Reboot device (30 sec power off)
- Reboot router (30 sec off, wait 5 min)
- Check provider status
- Test on second device
- Switch DNS to 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8
- Disable VPN temporarily
❓ Frequently Asked Questions
Why does my IPTV have sound but no picture?
This is almost always a codec issue: the stream is HEVC but your device can only decode H.264. Try an external player like VLC or MX Player that does software decoding, or upgrade to an HEVC-capable device, which includes all TVs from 2017 onward.
Why does my IPTV have a picture but no sound?
This is usually an audio codec mismatch where AC-3 or E-AC-3 is not supported. In your TV settings, switch the audio output from Bitstream to PCM. If you use Atmos, note that HDMI ARC cannot handle it, so use eARC or optical instead.
What does "Failed to open stream" mean in IPTV?
It means the player could not load the channel. Common causes are a dead stream URL, your provider's maximum connections being reached, a VPN blocking the connection, or an expired account. Test the URL in our Stream Tester and close the stream on other devices.
Why is my IPTV EPG empty or showing no programs?
An empty EPG is usually caused by a wrong XMLTV URL, a tvg-id that does not match between your M3U and the EPG, or a corrupt EPG cache. Test the XMLTV URL in a browser, fix the IDs with our M3U Editor, and clear the EPG cache in the app.
What causes an "Invalid credentials" error in IPTV?
Usually the username or password is wrong, so copy and paste them without spaces. Make sure the server URL includes the port in the format http://server.com:8080, and confirm your account has not expired with your provider.
What is the quickest way to fix most IPTV problems?
A quick reset fixes about 80% of issues: clear the app cache (not data), reboot the device, reboot the router, check provider status, test on a second device, switch DNS to 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8, and temporarily disable any VPN.
